Dr. Tarek Ali

Dr. Ali is a Certified Specialist in Periodontics and a Fellow of The Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Dr. Ali was born in Winnipeg, MB. He earned his BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from the Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University, Egypt in 1995 and completed his advanced training in general dentistry (General Practice Residency) in 1996. After practicing in Egypt, he returned to Canada where he earned his DDS from the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Alberta in 2003. Dr. Ali pursued his passion for Periodontics and Dental Implants, by joining the Specialty Program in Periodontics and Implantology at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC. After an intense three-year surgical specialty residency, he earned a Diploma in Periodontics and a Master of Science in 2008. Since then, he has limited his practice to Periodontics and Dental Implants. Dr. Ali believes in the patient-centred approach to dental management, where everyone on the team works collaboratively with the patients’ needs and oral health of highest priority. He is committed to continuing education and advanced courses in his field to bring the latest, most advanced techniques and technology to his patients. He is an active member of several national and international periodontal and dental organizations. He is fluent in English and Arabic.
